For those who crave speed and excitement, Hemsedal Rides is a must-visit. Enjoy everything from easy green loops to the red flow trail that stretches from the mountain summit down to Fyri Resort. Silverstone, our 10 km blue flow trail, is packed with rollers, jumps, and berms – perfect for cycling enthusiasts!
Don’t have a bike? No problem! Hemsedal has several bike rental options to get you on the trails.

Cool off in a mountain pool
Find your way to one of Hemsedal’s many hidden pools for a refreshing swim. As you hike along mountain streams and rivers, discover your favorite spot to take a dip. Visit a farm
Let the kids experience farm life! At Dalo Fjellgård, children aged 6–12 can join a week-long farm program, helping with daily tasks like feeding the animals and learning about life on a mountain farm. (For Scandinavian speaking kids, understanding Norwegian)
Storøygarden, located in the village center, is also open for visits in July. Families can meet and pet animals like sheep, pigs, and chickens while learning about farm life in the mountains.
Both farms offer refreshments, and you might even be able to bring home fresh eggs or try something unique!
Local food and drink
After an active day, nothing beats a delicious meal. Hemsedal has it all, from traditional baked goods at Flatbrødbakerietin Tuv to flavorful dishes at local restaurants like Hemsedal Cafe and Skogstad Bistro in the village center.
