Rjukandefossen

An impressive and powerful double waterfall dropping 18 meters down a narrow ravine. Near the waterfall there are several pothole formations and a thrilling suspension bridge.
The water flow is large most of the summer.
Located at Tuv, by Rjukandefoss Camping (Road 52). See sign posts.
Follow the foothpath through the woods approx. 200 meters from the car park.

Swimming and picnic
Rjukandefossen waterfall is a populare place to go for a picnic or for a swim on a sunny day.

You can't go swimming in the waterfall, but not close to it. About 100 m downstream from the waterfall, the water is much calmer. Remember that the water i Hemsedal can be cold at times and you are always responsible for your own safety when you go swimming.

There are many spots for a nice picnic on the cliffs or in the forrest surrounding the waterfall.
