Lodge Express – Chair lift
This summer, the new Lodge Express will take you to the top of Hemsedal Rides, where you can enjoy a thrilling bike ride down spectacular trails or perhaps a hike to the Topp20 peak Totten. It's perfect for those seeking an adrenaline rush or an easy way to reach high altitudes! It will be the lift Hollvin Express that will start off the summer season and Lodge Express will start later in the summer.
Right next to Lodge Express, you'll find the children's area with a kid's bike trail and the Lille Olav conveyor belt that takes children to the start of the trail. There will also be several other activities in the children's area. Additionally, Tottelia Bike Park is just a stone's throw from the lift. Here, both big and small riders can enjoy fun loop trails before heading up the lift to explore the other trails in Hemsedal Rides.
Resturants in the area
At the bottom of the lift, you'll find Lodgen Spiseri, which transforms into a cozy café and meeting place for mountain enthusiasts once the snow melts. They tempt you with a pancake menu and Italian soft ice cream. On the outdoor patio, you can enjoy the mountain view from a sun lounger or indulge in our Afterbike offerings. Right next to the outdoor seating, you can play volleyball, ladder golf, or kubb.
After taking the lift up, you can stroll down to Fjellkafeen and bask in the sun on the large terrace. Here, you can enjoy a light lunch, delicious waffles, and a cold drink after your hike or during your biking day.
Further down along the flow trail Silverstone, you'll find Skigaarden, where you can savor homemade cinnamon buns with coffee from Hemsedal. Scandinavian Alps Coffee Roasters deliver freshly roasted coffee beans directly from Ulsåk to Skigaarden. There's also freshly baked pizza straight from the oven and other treats throughout the summer.
Skarsnuten Hotel is open all summer, offering delicious meals on a terrace with the best view in Hemsedal! Additionally, you can stop by the spa for a relaxing massage or a refreshing dip in the pools.
At the bottom of the red flow trail, you'll find Fyri Resort and Rambler Sports Club. Here, you can enjoy a good lunch or something nice for Afterbike, and this summer, padel courts are also opening right next to the outdoor seating.
Activities in the area
In addition to biking and hiking, you can also challenge yourself with Climbing and abseiling this summer. Here, you'll both climb and rappel down a mountainside near Fjellkafeen. Check your schedule and book your spot now to ensure you get a place when you arrive.
Have you tried Mountain Cart? It’s a safe, fun, and thrilling activity suitable for the whole family. A Mountain Cart is like an oversized tricycle without pedals but with good brakes on the handles, allowing you to easily control your speed.
Via Ferrata is a fantastic experience. Experienced guides will take you safely up steep mountain sides and along narrow ledges on a prepared climbing route that leads you all the way to the top of Vesle Røggjin.
Hemsedal Climbing center is located next to the summer lift in SkiStar Lodge Hemsedal Suites. The center features a 14-meter high climbing wall and a large bouldering area. We also have a Moonboard bouldering wall and a training rig for those who want to build strength.
