Hemsedal recently received a full 15 cm of snow, and with stable cold temperatures in the air, SkiStar has now announced the eagerly awaited opening dates for its Norwegian ski resorts.

We finally got confirmation of the date for the upcoming ski season at SkiStar Hemsedal - Friday, November 24 marks the start of the ski season. With a combination of snowfall and stable cold temperatures, everything is set for a fantastic start to the winter season. One of the most exciting news from SkiStar this winter is the introduction of two new lifts.

With a new chairlift, a 6-seater lift called "Lodge Express," starting from the bottom of the children's area and taking you up into the mountains. This lift has an impressive capacity of 3000 people per hour and stretches over an impressive 1733 meters. The other exciting news is a new platter lift that provides direct access to the park, making it easier for visitors to stay in the park area instead of having to ski down to the bottom and then ride up again.

The cross-country skiing season kicked off last weekend, and the trails are continuously groomed in accordance with weather and snow conditions. So far, 750 meters of the trails at Gravset ski arena have been groomed, while an additional 2 kilometers are also ready for use. The rest of the trails will be compacted with groomers and track equipment to ensure the best possible skiing conditions for cross-country enthusiasts.

In Solheisen Skisenter, there is also full speed ahead to start the ski season. The storm Hans took its toll, so there is extra work to be done. The Solheisen team reports that they hope for a season opening on December 1.
