What to expect

  • We choose the best launch site depending on the day’s weather – often Totten II, Tinden or Roni in winter, and Solheisen or Hydnefossen in summer.

  • You’ll sit in your own harness, right in front of the instructor – with first-row views of Hemsedal’s mountain scenery.

  • Flights usually last 10–20 minutes.

  • Want to try steering? You can!

Safe and professional

  • All instructors are highly experienced and know Hemsedal’s flying conditions by heart.

  • You are insured through the Norwegian Air Sports Federation.

  • Before take-off you’ll get a full briefing on launch, flight and landing.

  • Nervous? Totally normal – but once in the air, excitement takes over!

Practical info

  • Meeting point: Hemsedal centre or your hotel (arranged with your instructor)

  • How we get there: Either by ski lift (bring your ski pass in winter) or car to the launch site

  • Clothing: Warm layers, windproof jacket, sturdy shoes, gloves, ski goggles/sunglasses

  • Ski or foot launch: In winter you can choose to start on skis (requires basic ski skills) or on foot

  • Age: All ages welcome (under 18 need written parental consent)

  • Health: You need to be able to run a few steps to lift the wing at take-off

Weather and flexibility

Paragliding is weather-dependent. Your instructor will keep you updated in the days leading up to your flight. If conditions aren’t right, your flight will be rescheduled.

Booking and payment
