May 17 is around the corner and we look forward to going in the parade, eating sausages and having fun with you all in Hemsedal. Activities in May
The snow melts and it turns green again in the valley, some of our activities we have to wait until all the snow has melted but there are several activities that are suitable now.
Horse and carrige, Climbing center, Snow shoeing og Mountain Cart are amongst the activities that you can book through Hemsedal Aktiv now in May.
There is also still the possibility of a some back country skiing on Hemsedalsfjellet, you may have to walk a little and look out for sharks on your way down again, but he who seeks it finds..
As the snow melts, the mountain hikes begin to emerge, peaks that are more or less open are Høllekølten, Steget, Geiteberget, Storhøvda og Karisetberget. We update with more mountain hikes as they are ready for summer.
It is also nice to go to the waterfall Rjukandefossen and to visit the "big mythical stone" Klokkarsteinen in Ulsåk, just remember to read the legends about it when you visit it.
We all wishes you a wonderful May 17th!
