Dogsledding - An adventure for everyone – All year round
We offer a variety of dog sledding tours, tailored for both beginners and experienced mushers. Join us for a shorter sled ride, combine your trip with ice fishing, or challenge yourself on a two-day journey where you'll take care of your own dog team. If you want to experience dog sledding outside the snowy season, we also offer thrilling rides on wheels during summer and autumn. You'll have the opportunity to take part in dog care, harness your own team, and either drive the sled yourself or sit back and enjoy the ride on warm sheepskins while the huskies lead you through Hemsedal’s stunning mountain landscape.

Dog sledding in winter - A 1.5-Hour sled ride
We start by getting to know all the dogs in the kennel and familiarizing ourselves with how the sled works. Then, you'll harness the dogs for your own team. You can choose whether to drive the sled yourself or sit comfortably wrapped in warm sheepskins while enjoying the ride. Halfway through, there is an opportunity to switch drivers.
We set off towards Skogshorn, traveling through stunning landscapes and getting up close to some of Hemsedal’s most beautiful mountains.
Price: NOK 1,700 per person (10 years and older).
Children under 10: NOK 700.
Dog sledding combined with ice fishing
We begin by introducing you to the dogs in the kennel and getting familiar with how the sled works. After a short introduction, you will harness your own dog team before we set off into Hemsedal’s stunning winter landscape. You can choose whether to drive the sled yourself or sit comfortably on warm sheepskins while enjoying the ride.
Halfway through, we stop for an ice fishing session and a campfire lunch. Food and warm drinks are included – and if you’re lucky enough to catch something, you can even grill your own fish! Before we continue, there will be an opportunity to switch drivers for those who wish to try.
When we return to the kennel, you’ll have time to cuddle with the dogs, help remove their harnesses, and feed them before they head back to their doghouses.
Duration: Approximately 5 hours.
Price: NOK 3,600 per person (10 years and older).

Full-Day Dog Sledding Adventure
We begin by introducing you to the dogs in the kennel and giving you a brief overview of how the sled works. After harnessing your own dog team, we set off into Hemsedal’s breathtaking winter landscape. You can choose whether to drive the sled yourself or sit back on warm sheepskins and enjoy the ride.
Halfway through, we take a break to light a fire and grill lunch in the great outdoors. Both food and warm drinks are included. Before we continue, you’ll have the opportunity to switch drivers if you wish.
Back at the kennel, you’ll have time to cuddle with the dogs, help remove their harnesses, and feed them before they settle in for the night.

Dog Sledding with Overnight Stay
Participants will be assigned their own dog team, which they will care for and drive throughout the adventure. Feeding, harnessing, and bonding with the huskies are key to building trust and ensuring a great sledding experience.
Day 1
The adventure begins at Dalo Fjellgård at 12:30 PM, where you’ll receive an introduction, pack your sled, and be assigned your dog team. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. From here, we set off towards Skogshorn, covering approximately three hours of sledding before arriving at Bergastølen, where we will spend the night. Upon arrival, we unharness and feed the dogs before settling in.
The cabin is simple but cozy, with electricity but no running water. A hearty dinner and drinks are included. The cabin has beds, but participants must bring a sleeping bag or their own bedding.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, we set off for another full day of dog sledding through Hemsedal’s breathtaking mountain landscape. We take an extended lunch break by the fire, before making our way back to Dalo Fjellgård.
Our experienced guide, Espen, is a local expert in Hemsedal and will lead you through this unforgettable two-day journey. Additional details about the trip, necessary equipment, and packing recommendations will be sent upon registration.
Price: NOK 5,500 per person
Includes: Two-day sledding tour, overnight stay, dinner, drinks, breakfast, and lunch.

Dog Sledding in Summer & Autumn
When the snow melts, we offer dog sledding experiences by appointment, both on weekdays and weekends, as long as the weather and temperature conditions allow. You can choose to drive your own sled or ride as a passenger—both options provide an unforgettable adventure.
No prior dog sledding experience is needed! We provide thorough training before the tour begins, and our experienced guides will lead the way while the other sled teams follow.
We have trails suitable for both adults and children, ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone.
