Indoor climbing and bouldering Christmas & New Years
Climbing is a great activity for all ages starting from 4-5 years and up. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult, but the adult does not have to climb.

We recommend booking time in advance.
Hemsedal Climbing Center at the base of Hemsedal Skisenter offers climbing with an instructor. If you have a climbing certificate you may climb on your own,at your own risk, but this must be prebooked.
If you want to boulder there is not experience needed.
Small children may be accompanied by 1 adult.
Practical information
- Meeting point: the climbing centre is located in SkiStar Lodge Suites, at the bottom of the alpine center, next door to O´ Leary's.
- Parking is on short-term parking outside SkiStar Lodge. Free parking for 2 hours.
- Difficulty: easy to hard, depending on your experience
- Max weight 120 kg
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult
About Hemsedal Climbing Center
In Hemsedal we are lucky to have top modern indoor climbing facilities. The climbing center consists of a 14 meter high climbing wall and a large boulder area. The climbing wall has about 10 climbing routes from grade 4-6, of which several have autobelay. The boulder area has about 20 marked boulder "problems" from grade 4 to 7b.
Hemsedal climbing center was completed during the autumn, 2017. It is located at the bottom of the children's area right next to the restaurant O`Learys. The premises are large, bright and very cozy. Through large glass facades there is a good view of the alpine center and the mountains. The walls are built by Tjelmeland Friktion, a Norwegian climbing wall manufacturer that supplies some of the world's best climbing walls.

From the climbing center you can also, depending on the season, rent canoes, SUP and Via Ferrata equipment.
