Avalanche Course – 1 Day
Learn the essentials. Build confidence. Make smarter decisions in the mountains.
This one-day avalanche course gives you the foundation you need to travel safely in snowy terrain. You learn the key principles of avalanche awareness, how to make good decisions on the move, and how to use a transceiver for companion rescue. Everything is taught outdoors – either in the mountains or within the ski resort.
What you’ll learn
The course is practical, hands-on and ideal for both first-timers and skiers wanting a solid safety refresher.
You’ll cover:
Basic avalanche knowledge
How to understand and assess avalanche danger
Route choice and safe travel techniques
Using transceiver, shovel and probe
Fast and effective companion rescue
All instructors are NF-certified avalanche instructors from the Norwegian Mountaineering Forum. Maximum 6 participants per guide.
