Sledding from top to bottom

Join Hemsedal’s ultimate sledding adventure – from the top of Fjellheisen all the way down to the base station! The run is almost 4 km long with a vertical drop of 630 metres. You’ll get your own Stiga Snowracer and race downhill together with guides. An experience you won’t forget!

NOK 395 per person (incl. lift pass and Snowracer rental)

How long is the toboggan run?
Almost 4 kilometres with a total descent of 630 vertical metres. One of the longest sledding runs in Norway.
How long does the whole experience take?
Around 1.5 hours, including the chairlift ride, safety briefing and the run itself.
Is the lift pass included in the price?
Yes, the price includes both the lift ticket and the rental of a Stiga Snowracer.
Can children ride on their own?
Children under 10 must ride together with an adult.
What should I wear?
Warm winter clothing, sturdy winter shoes and good gloves. A helmet and goggles are recommended.
Can I wear ski boots?
No. Ski boots are not allowed for safety reasons.
Where is the meeting point?
At the bottom of the Lodgen Express lift.
How do I book?
Book at bookhemsedal.no before 14:00 on the same day.
Is it safe?
Yes, but it’s fast and exciting. You’ll receive instructions before the start, and the route is well prepared.
Do I need to be able to ski?
No ski skills are required – anyone can join as long as they are dressed for winter.
When does tobogganing take place?
Times vary throughout the season depending on the lift opening hours. Check the winter activity schedule for specific dates.
Can groups join?
Yes. Families, friends and larger groups are welcome as long as there is availability.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The activity may be cancelled in strong wind or poor visibility. You will be notified and offered a new time or a refund.
Is there a shorter toboggan run as well?
Yes. If you prefer a shorter and more repeatable experience, try Tobogganing in the Fjellheisen. This evening activity offers a 1 km run with headlamps, and you can do multiple laps within one hour. Perfect if you want a more controlled pace or simply more rounds.
