Take the cross country bus to the mountains and ski back
Vy361 Cross-Country Ski Bus Hemsedal town center - Tuv - Bjøberg
Vy now offers a cross-country ski bus to Bjøberg on Saturdays from mid-February to mid-April, with additional days during Easter.
In case of bad weather or poor skiing conditions, the trip will be canceled, and booking contact will be notified via SMS.
In 2024:
- Every Saturday from Hemsedal center at 10:00 starting from 17/2 to 13/4
- Extra departures during Easter: Every day at 10:00 from Monday 25/3 to Friday 29/3
DEPARTURE
- Hemsedal town center 10:00, bus stop outside the bank
- Tuv at 10:10
- Arrival at Bjøberg at 10:30
TICKETS
Advance ticket booking is recommended as the bus only runs if someone has booked. Booking deadline is the day before at 18:00.
Tickets can be purchased on vybuss.com or in the Vy app.
If the bus is canceled due to bad weather or poor conditions, the passenger will be notified via SMS.
It is also possible to pay on the bus with a card, but remember that if no one has pre-booked, the bus will not run at all.
TRACKS
From Bjøberg, there are groomed cross-country ski trails (from mid feb on stable weather) over the mountains to Bulien - Grøndalen and further to Tuv - Trøym. There are also great tracks via Lio to Tuv - Trøym. See status of groomed tracks at skisporet.no.
Bjøberg - Bulien - Tuv is 19.3 km
Bjøberg - Lio - Tuv is 21.2 km
Tuv - Trøym on the south side of the river past the ski center is approx 6.5 km
OWN RESPONSIBILITY
The trip is without a tour guide, so all travel and route choices are at your own risk. The trails are well-marked, and regular cross-country skis can be used. The route goes partly through mountain terrain, and the weather can change rapidly, so we recommend everyone to be well-equipped, "even on short trips," as it is called. Bring a map, extra clothes, and food for a nice trip.
