Behind a team of eager huskies, you'll experience Hemsedal from a whole new perspective. Dog sledding is perfect for both kids and adults – whether you want to steer your own team or just sit back and enjoy the ride.
You don’t need any prior experience – just a sense of adventure and warm clothes!
The experience is suitable for both small and large groups, and it’s even possible to book multi-day tours with overnight stays in tents or cabins.
Price:
– NOK 1,700 per person (ages 10+)
– NOK 850 for children aged 3–9 (seated in the sled with an adult)
When:
– Tuesday to Sunday at 10:00 and 13:00
– Mondays available on request
– Duration: Around 3 hours including pick-up and preparation
– Booking deadline: The day before by 17:00
Transport:
Transport is booked per tour (not per person). Pick-up available from:
– Fýri Resort, SkiStar Lodge Alpin, or Tourist Office: NOK 600 per booking
– Skigaarden or Skarsnuten Hotel: NOK 850 per booking

What is dog sledding in Hemsedal?
A guided experience where you ride behind a team of huskies through Hemsedal's stunning winter scenery. You can drive the sled yourself or sit comfortably as a passenger.
Do I need prior experience?
No – anyone can join! Our guides will make sure you're safe and confident before the tour starts.
Who can participate?
Children aged 3–9 can ride with an adult in the sled. From age 10, they can ride alone or drive their own team (with guidance).
When are tours available?
Tuesday to Sunday at 10:00 and 13:00. Mondays on request. Booking must be made by 17:00 the day before.
How long is the tour?
Approximately 3 hours, including pick-up and preparations.
