Hemsilstigen Grønåsstigen Fiskumstigen - Roundtrip from Hemsedal Trøym
A roundtrip hike in the valley of Hemsedal that follows the river towards Ulsåk and comes back along the hills. Suitable for most hikers with plenty of resting benches and areas to set up camp for the day.

This trail goes from Hemsedal centre and follows the river to Ulsåk. The return path goes up Grønåsstigen, the hill on the north side of the valley. This hike is marked green and most should be able to do it within a few hours. There is a bench along the river and when you get to the top of grønåstigen you will have a good view of the valley.
We recommend this trip for days where the clouds lay low and there might not be any sight from the top mountains. On days like these, your chances of seeing large moose.
There are two places along the path that is suitable for a BBQ, the first one is in Ulsåk, right after you turn right away from the river, across the hanging bridge. Take a left into the forest, on a small wooden path and walk for 100m until you see the small house and benches. The other is halfway back, you will decent from the hill and close to the bridge, there are a few benches where you can make a fire.
Author's advice
If you want to go for a shorter walk, you can walk over the suspension bridge at Solstad, about 500 meters down the Hemsilstigen.

Denne rundturen fra Hemsedal Sentrum følger elven mot Ulsåk og tilbake over Grønåsstigen. Stien er markert grønn og meget lett å gjennomføre for de fleste innen noen timer. Det er en benk langs elven og på toppen av åsen får du flott utsikt over dalen.
Directions
Walk from the tourist office towards Ulsåk on the sidewalk. Cross the road by Power (end of centrum) and take a left towards the fire station and the camper emptying station. The path is located in the corner behind the fire station.

You can park anywhere in centrum.
