Description

An intermediate Topp20 hike that is suitable for accustomed hikers and families.

You start at the top of the tree line and walk through a beautiful summer farm landscape, following a rocked stream towards Holstein. You cross the stream and the farm landscape flows into high mountains, the trail slowly becomes increasingly steeper with the hill. After the first peak, you follow the ridge all the way to the top of Kvitingatn.

From Kvitingatn there is a beautiful view towards the ski resort of Hemsedal, the Topp20 hike to Harahødn and the area around.

The Kvitingatn hike is a return trip, but you can choose to make it a point to point trip and hike to Hulbak of Hemsedal Center. To do this you follow the stream towards Hølsteinstølane.  Be careful if you decide to walk down the east side of the mountain off track to quickly get to the path that goes to the centre as there is no marked trail there.
