Haugsfossene - ice climbing

Many opportunities with moderate difficulty make Haugsfossene a favorite for many in Hemsedal.
Haugsfossen actually consists of several waterfalls.
Husmorgymnastikken, which is the main waterfall, is the most popular among them. It has many variations and is often divided into two rope lengths. Indre Haugsfoss is a steeper alternative located furthest inside the gorge. It starts gently but offers several exciting options in the steep finale. In the lower part of the gorge lies Ytre Haugsfoss. It freezes less often than the other ice in the area, but is a nice waterfall of moderate difficulty when it does freeze. Haugsfossene is south-facing with a great view of the ski center in Hemsedal.

Haugsfossen waterfall is located in the centre of Hemsedal.
Parking
You can park in the centre of Hemsedal and walk to the waterfall. Park in such a way that it does not obstruct ploughing, milk trucks and large express vehicles.
