Family friendly trip with both gravel road and bike paths. Along the trip you will pass one of Hemsedals well known attractions Rjukandefossen waterfall. Here you will find a nice swimming spot, an area for picnic opportunities and a small suspension bridge (Here there is also toilet opportunities). From Venåsen you can continue along the Old Kings Road towards Bjøberg/Lærdal, or you can cycle back alongside Rv 52.
The waterfall Rjukandefossen is one of Hemsedals most visited attractions, and just a small footpath away on this cycling trip.
The biking trip itself is estimated to be short, but with a stop at the beautiful waterfall, it will for sure take up more of the day. The scenery is astonishing, and you get to experience real, Norwegian nature at its finest at Rjukandefossen.

Turn-by-turn directions
Before you get to Tuv from Hemsedal centre, take the trail off left towards Venås (path and gravel track). Before you come onto the gravel track, you may also turn right and follow the footpath to Rjukandefossen waterfall. At Venås/main road Rv 52, you can continue across the main road to the Kongevegen which goes all the way to Bjøberg (20 km) and even further to Lærdal (90 km) or go back along the Rv 52 to Tuv.
Equipment
A helmet is strongly recommended. Gear up with the weather in mind :)

The edges at Rjukandefossen waterfall have a long fall down, so proceed with caution
Directions
From the town centre drive west towards Tuv and park on the right side of the road (opposite Hemsedal Flatbread Bakery). Cross the road and continue past the Tuv school. Continue on through the residential area and cross the narrow bridge. Follow the marked track alongside the river.
Parking
Parking is available at Tuv besides Hemsedal Flatbread Bakery.
