Storevatnet круговой - велопрогулка
Beautiful route around Storevatn in Lykkja, which is not suitable for the youngest in the family.
Images
There is a challenging path of about 4 km. You get a great view of Tisleia and Skogshødn. It is also recommended to take the route up Skogshødn (red) by walking from Trefta. We recommend cycling the route clockwise to finish the route with a refreshing swim in Grytevatnet. From the Blomeslettatn-Nøreli path, there is a hiking route to Vihovda.
The area around Storevatnet is a beautiful area where you can fish, swim, or paddle canoe. You may encounter grazing animals, local farmers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. It is also possible to combine this circular ride with other bike routes, either south towards Golsfjellet or further into Lykkja.
Bring your swimwear, fishing rod, food, and drink so you have the opportunities to enjoy the mountain nature all day in beautiful nature and cultural landscape. There are other small lakes nearby where you can also fish and swim. Grytetjernet is known to be the warmest water for swimming, and it is often many who swim here.
Author's advice
Turn-by-turn directions
Starting point at the parking lot at Trefta or Hestanåne. Cycle towards Lykkja and Nøreli stølsgrend. At the stølen, turn right onto a path (rocky and challenging) to Blomeslettatn. Cycle straight ahead and out onto Lykkjaveien, then turn right to Trefta. Not suitable for bike trailers (due to path at Nøreli). It is possible to continue on a nice bike path to the Golsfjellet bike area from Nøreli or continue towards Lykkja and the Valdres bike area (Tisleia round, etc.).
Equipment
Wear a bike helmet. Bring enough water and food so you can enjoy the day as long as you want.
Safety information
Watch out for stones on the path and keep any dogs on a leash so they do not scare grazing animals.
Directions
Starting from the center, drive east to Ulsåk and take a left up Lykkjavegen at Kiwi. Continue until you reach Trefta parking (fee) or alternatively Hestanåne parking (fee).
