Images
Nice biking on a gravel road in the moutains. Riding on nice gravel roads under the Reineskarvet, past summer farms and around small lakes. The chair lift in Hemsedal Skisenter can be utilized to overcome the initial altitudal distance. It's a fairly nice and flat route apart from the beginning and the end. It can be suitable for children if they are capable of biking the distance of about 60km. It will bring you up into the high mountains where you can enjoy the scenery and nature, with the comfort of gravel roads, so that you you don't have to keep your mind on the track at all times. The route is a part of the roughly translated "summer farm route", and can be combined with Bergsjøs network of routes. It's also possible to bike back to Hemsedal via the Trettestølane across the the mountain and down to the Hemsila paths, although you might run into a lot of bogs and rough patches of steep paths.
