Description
The start of the route takes you on a nice gravel road which will comfortably take you to the ski center. You bike past Hemsegarden, the Ski Center and Hemsedal Bike park. The next segment of the route to Tuv is a more bumpy fun forest road with roots growing into it. On this segment of the route you'll appreciate your bikes dampers if you have them, although they're not absoloutely necessary.
Once you get to Tuv, you could alternatively continue to Venåsen (past Rjukandefossen) and go on to the Old Kings Road or Grøndalsløypa.
If you'd rather stick to this route, the path takes you up the hills to Hulbakvegen through beautiful farmlands with steep fields and active farms on both sides of the road. Around the highest point of the trip the gravel road which would take you to Høllekølten begins. If you'd like to see the view from atop Høllekølten you may do a detour up Høllekøltens gravel road before rolling back down to the town center on the Old Kings Road.
