Fjellet Kaller has long experience with practical avalanche training. Our courses give you hands-on tools and skills to travel safely on ski tours and off-piste. Our experienced instructors know the Hemsedal mountains inside out and are updated daily on snow conditions and avalanche risk.
Why join an avalanche course?
Do you know enough about snow and avalanches to move safely outside the groomed slopes? On our courses you’ll learn how to plan trips, recognise warning signs and make good decisions in avalanche terrain. All our instructors are IFMGA mountain guides (Tindevegledere) with extensive experience and local knowledge.
When are the courses held?
We run several avalanche courses in Hemsedal throughout the winter – both on fixed dates and on request. Our most popular option is a two-day weekend course, with practical field sessions outdoors on both Saturday and Sunday.
Tip: Take the course together with the people you usually ski with. That way you’ll share the same knowledge and can build experience as a team.
