Hulbakstølen 903 m above sea level
An easy hike up from Hulbak, with great views of the mountains by the ski center, Tuv and Grøndalen. Hulbakstølen is a pleasant place for a picnic with plenty of space in the grass. Here the sun shines long into the evening.

Start at the marked parking lot along Hulbakveien, at Hemsedal Fjellcamp. At the storehouse, walk across the grass up to the cabin road and follow it further before the trail continues up through the forest. After about 200 m there is a great view down towards Hulbak and Tuv. Continue through the forest, crossing some marshland and small streams, before reaching Hulbakstølen. Today there is only a scent of stone left of the farm, but the barn is still standing. A nice and lush grassy area, with the opportunity for a pleasant lunch break or evening coffee in the sunset (the sun goes down late here). Great views towards the Ski Center, Tuv and Grøndalen. The trip can also be combined with a longer trip to Synarsvaet, Rusto, Finsetbotn, Fjellstølane or all the way to the city center.
